Dedicated to the memory of Mike
This site is a tribute to Mike, who was born on May 8th, 1938. He is much loved and will always be remembered for so many reasons. Together with Bobbie he was an active supporter of Lichfield Rugby Club, of Jazz musicians via Lichfield Arts, and he served the Lichfield & Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust with a special interest in environmental matters since 2003. A regular visitor to Maderia and the Algarve he studied and became a fluent speaker of Portugese.

So sorry to hear of Mikes passing we will always remember his great sense of humour and wry smile. His story of the payback period for his solar heating is legendary and will stay with me always. Reunited with Bobby, RIP Mike.

Sorry not to be able to attend. We spent a few years of absolute pleasure in the company of Mike & Bobbie, laughing, travelling, eating well and trying to educate Mike into liking wine and not his normal brown liquid. We failed! You will be missed, both of you. All our love. ❤️

Thoughts
So sorry to hear that sad news. He was a real enthusiast about all things environmental. He patiently tendered sapling trees until they were strong enough to be planted out and he was very knowledgeable on plants and wildlife. He and Bobby were both lovely people and true enthusiasts. We have fond memories of them both.

We were sorry to hear of the death of Mike Battisson.
Mike was a valued member of the Lichfield & Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust.
and was always concerned with environmental issues. He will be sadly missed.
